Hello, world!

Welcome to the Bonobo Blog, your source for news and inspiration about the world of conservation and development, and, of course, BONOBOS!

In this next series of posts, we’ll introduce you to the Bonobo Conservation Initiative (BCI), our missionour incredible Bonobo Peace Forest (BPF), our dedicated team in DC and in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), a few of our enthusiastic volunteers (we’d love to have you join us!), and, most importantly, some of our (and your!) closest family members, the bonobos.

We have some exciting news to share very soon, and hope that you will join us as we explore green themes and pursue our passion to protect our dwindling rainforests and to make conservation go viral, through the help of our little known ally, the bonobo. We hope that you’ll share with us your own stories about how you embody peace and the way of the bonobo in your lives, and will stand with us to protect the world we have and to work for the world we want.

Bonobos in the mist

About K. Lindsay Hunter

I'm a biological anthropologist and research associate at Sepela Field Programs. I study human-wildlife interactions in South Africa, and have long been fascinated by our non-human primate relatives. I volunteer for BCI because I strongly support their approach to sustainable conservation and development in the DRC and want to help conservation go viral!
